Singapore Pools introduced 4D betting in May 1986, embracing newly implemented computerized gaming systems. This marked a significant turning point in the company's history, as they leveraged technology to enhance their operations.

In April 1993, the 4D draw became closely associated with the Singapore Sweep draw, a connection that remains intact today. On the first Wednesday of each month, the 4D Winning Numbers are derived from the last four digits of the top 23 winning number combinations of the Singapore Sweep draw.

Regular 4D draws continue to occur every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

How to Play Singapore 4D

To participate in 4D, choose a four-digit number ranging from 0000 to 9999. The minimum bet cost is $1, which includes GST.

Draws occur every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday at 6:30 pm. Each draw reveals 23 sets of winning 4D numbers distributed across five prize categories.

If you've placed bets on any of the 23 winning 4D numbers, you win a prize.

4D Bet Types

There are two main types of 4D bets:

i) Big Bet

By choosing a Big Bet, you stand to win a prize if your 4D number matches any of the numbers in the five prize categories.

ii) Small Bet

Types of Entries

i) Ordinary Entry

In this entry type, you select four digits in a specific order. You secure a prize if your chosen combination matches any of the winning numbers in the same order.

TOTO

Launched in 1968, TOTO holds the distinction of being the inaugural lottery game in Singapore Pools' history.

The name 'TOTO' is a blend of 'Totalisator' and 'Lotto,' reflecting its unique origins.

Throughout its history, the game has undergone several enhancements. In 1981, the snowballing feature was introduced, allowing prize amounts to increase in the absence of winners. That same year, the System Entry option was introduced.

June 1988 witnessed a pivotal change as the game transitioned from a '5-out-of-49' format to a '6-out-of-42' format, accompanied by an increased top prize of $300,000. Further adjustments were made in 1997, shifting to a '6-out-of-45' format with a guaranteed Jackpot prize of $500,000.

In October 2014, TOTO was revamped into its present format. Currently, each Monday and Thursday, six Winning Numbers and one Additional Number are drawn from a pool of 49 numbers, with the Jackpot commencing at a minimum of $1,000,000.




How to Play TOTO

To participate in TOTO, you need to select a minimum of six numbers from a range of 1 to 49. The entry cost starts at $1, and it includes GST.

Draws are scheduled for every Monday and Thursday at 6:30 pm. In the case of a cascade draw, the draw time shifts to 9:30 pm. During each draw, six Winning Numbers and one Additional Number are selected.

You qualify for a prize if your chosen numbers match at least three of the Winning Numbers.

Singapore Sweep

1969:

Originally named the Big Sweep, Singapore Pools held the inaugural Singapore Sweep in 1969, aimed at generating funds for the construction of our first National Stadium. Each ticket was priced at $1, and the initial first prize stood at $400,000. This initiative contributed $14.5 million to the construction expenses, spanning until 1973.

1981:

The first prize was elevated to $600,000.

1982:

Further enhancements saw the first prize increased to $1 million, with a corresponding ticket price adjustment to $2.

1986:

Singapore Pools contributed $45 million over three years towards the construction of the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

1995:

A comprehensive revision of the prize structure introduced additional prizes, including a Premium Prize with a minimum value of $99,000, as well as the introduction of the snowballing feature.

1998:

How to Play Singapore Sweep

To participate in the Singapore Sweep, you need to choose a seven-digit number ranging from 1000000 to 4499999. There is a total of 3.5 million available numbers for purchase.

Each seven-digit number comes for $3, which includes GST.

Draws are conducted on the first Wednesday of every month at 6:30 pm. During each draw, 133 sets of winning seven-digit numbers and 9 sets of winning two-digit numbers are selected. In this context, the winning two-digit number refers to the last two digits in the seven-digit number.

If your ticket number matches any of the 133 winning seven-digit numbers drawn, you stand a chance to win a prize ranging from at least $1,000 to up to $2.3 million. Additionally, if the last two digits of your ticket number match any of the nine winning two-digit numbers drawn, you will win $6.
